Hoteling Service on Polycom Phones

Hoteling allows users to associate their service profiles with phones other than their own. This service consists of two separate services: Hoteling Host and Hoteling Guest.
-    This functionality is typically used for transient employees, allowing a user to guest into a phone for the day.

When Guesting into an Hotel phone, the user will require a password. The Guesting Password = the user voicemail password

To be able to use the Hoteling service, a phone needs to be enabled as a Hoteling Host by a web portal admin via: voice.primus.ca > Admin Settings > Misc Features > Hoteling Host.
-    The 2 main options for Hoteling Host are "Disabled" or "On-Unlimited";
-    You can also choose from the five other options which will automatically guest a user out of the Hoteling Host after the designated amount of time.

After the above completed, a user needs to be enabled for Guesting capability. All users have Guesting disabled by default;
-    to enable this feature, they must first guest into a Hoteling Host via the WEB PORTAL and then guest out via THE PHONE.
-    If these two initial steps aren't completed in this manner the user will likely encounter an incorrect password error despite the password being correct.

There are 3 Guesting Methods, Via Web Portal, Via Phone and via the Voicemail Access (Voice Portal):
1-    Web Portal: voice.primus.ca > change view from Basic to Advanced > click the Hoteling tab on the left, then they will choose the Hotel phone to Guest in for the day.
a.    At the end of their shift, the user will login to web portal as per above & choose guest out to disassociate from the phone (or allow the guest license to expire) and allow another user to take over.
b.
2-    Phone: "GuestIn" soft-key on the Hoteling Host > enter their extension and password on screen
a.    At the end of their shift, the user will use the “Guestout” soft-key to disassociate from the phone (or allow the guest license to expire) and allow another user to take over.
3-    Voice Portal:
a.    Dial *62 on the Hoteling Host phone
b.    At the password prompt, hit the star key *
c.    You will then be prompted to enter a mailbox ID. The user should put THEIR OWN extension in (NOT the extension of the HOST).
d.    Enter their Voicemail password
e.    Then press option 7- Hoteling feature.
f.    They will now have the following options:
i.    Option 1-check the status of the host association (whether they are already associated or not; they can tell because if they WERE already associated, they would see their extension on the phone's display).
ii.    Option 2-Associate your ext to this telephone
iii.    Option 3-Disassociated your ext from this telephone
g.    Once the Hotel Guest is done their shift, they will log back in and choose option 3 to disassociate from the phone (or allow the guest license to expire) and allow another user to take over.
