How to setup your Polycom phones

Configuration for Managed(Primus network) and unmanaged(your own internet service) network.

How to factory reset:
01 - Press the Home button
02 - Select "Settings"
03 - Select "Advanced"
04 - Enter in the password 2363636 or 456
05 - Select "Administration Settings"
06 - Select "Reset to Defaults"
07 - Select "Reset to Factory"
08 - The phone will reboot several times and eventually stop on the home screen. Both lines should show the model of phone instead of the assigned extension. The Date/Time will be out of sync and the phone won't be online.
You will now need to either add in the VLAN settings if connected to a Primus Managed network or add the provisioning server if on an unmanaged network.

How to configure on managed Network:
01 - Press the Home button
02 - Select Settings
03 - Select Advanced
04 - Enter in the password 2363636 or 456
05 - Select "Administration Settings"
06 - Select "Network Configuration"
07 - Select "Provisioning Server"
08 - Select "DHCP Menu"
09 - Set the "Boot Server" to STATIC
10 - Click "OK" then the Back button once
11 - Set the "Server Type" to FTP
12 - Edit the "Server Address", press the Mode softkey and select IP, enter 216.254.136.35 - press OK
13 - Select Back
14 - Select "Ethernet Menu"
15 - Select "IPV4 Configuration"
16 - Verify "DHCP" is Enabled
17 - Select Back
18 - Scroll down and select "VLAN Menu"
19 - "VLAN ID" should be 774
20 - Set "VLAN Discovery Mode" to Enabled or Fixed
21 - Press the Home button, select "Save Config"
22 - The phone will reboot several times. It will eventually stop on the Home screen. The Date/Time should be correct. Both lines should show the assigned phone extension.


How to configure on unmanaged Network:
01 - Press the Home button
02 - Select Settings
03 - Select Advanced
04 - Enter in the password 2363636 or 456
05 - Select "Administration Settings"
06 - Select "Network Configuration"
07 - Select "Provisioning Server"
08 - Select "DHCP Menu"
09 - Set the "Boot Server" to STATIC
10 - Click "OK" then the Back button once
11 - Set the "Server Type" to FTP
12 - Edit the "Server Address", press the Mode softkey and select IP, enter 216.254.136.35 - press OK
13 - Select Back
14 - Select "Ethernet Menu"
15 - Select "IPV4 Configuration"
16 - Verify "DHCP" is Enabled
17 - Select Back
18 - Scroll down and select "VLAN Menu"
19 - "VLAN ID" should be empty
20 - Set "VLAN Discovery Mode" to Disabled
21 - Press the Home button, select "Save Config"
22 - The phone will reboot several times. It will eventually stop on the Home screen. The Date/Time should be correct. Both lines should show the assigned phone extension.
