enabling/disabling a user from using the softphone application that was previously downloaded to their computer.
There is 3 ways to disable a user from using the softphone application:
1- If that particular user extension was repurposed for another user (name, email & password got changed) then this automatically revokes the old user access to softphone, since their user profile (email) doesn't exist in the system anymore.
2- If that particular user is now a spare user on your list, but still has their proper email address assigned to the profile, you can change the email address to a "dummy/fake" email (IE: spare@spare.com). Once completed their access will be revoked since their user profile (email) doesn't exist in the system anymore.
3- If the user needs to stay as a valid user on your list, but you just want to revoke their access for a period of time or always, you can do so by doing the following:
A) login into voice.primus.ca/HPBX
B) Change view from Basic to Advance
C) Click on Admin Settings
D) Click on Misc. Features
E) In the list locate the user in question & under Desktop softphone uncheck the option (to disabled) or check the option (to enable) access to the user
F) click Save
