How to upload custom/personal contacts

To upload custom contacts, please access our portal at voice.primus.ca.

NOTE:
  • Personal contacts or custom contacts are stored in our directory using the format Last Name / First Name.
  • If the import is not in the correct format, it may not upload successfully. Additionally, any changes or uploads made to a phone will require a reboot to take effect.

To accomplish this, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to voice.primus.ca using an Admin account
  2. Switch the view from basic to advanced mode.
  3. Navigate to the left side and click on Admin Settings.
  4. Within the Admin Settings section, locate and click on Corporate Directories.
  5. Within the Corporate Directories section, locate and click on Custom contacts.
  6. On the right side, you have the option to either manually input the contacts or import them into the directory.
  7. After completing the upload (either manually or through import), it is important to assign an agent who will have access to this data on their phone.
  8. While remaining on the same page, locate the Users tab on the left side towards the bottom and click on it.
  9. Within this list, select the agent you wish to assign to the Custom contact directories.
    Place a check mark next to the user's name on the left side (remember to select only one user at a time).
    Scroll down to the bottom and click on "manage user" to proceed.
  10. Once the new window pops up, switch the view from basic to advanced.
  11. Click on the user profile located on the left side of the new window.
  12. Scroll down to the directories section in the middle of the page, then choose "custom / personal dir" from the drop-down list.
  13. Scroll down further and click on the save button to confirm your changes.


After finishing the process, kindly wait for approximately 1-2 minutes and then restart the phone. This action will ensure that the directory changes are successfully applied for the user.

To add additional users to the same custom/personal directory, simply follow steps J to O again.
